- We collect only what the app needs to work: your account, your collection, and what you choose to add.

- Payments are handled by Apple and Google. We never see your card number.
- You can export your data or delete your account at any time, right in the app.

Who we are
Lindmage and Co. LLC ("Lindmage," "we," "us") is a Mississippi limited liability company. We make The Layer Library, an app for organizing your fragrance collection (the "App"), and we run this website. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email us at Contact@lindmage.com.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account information: your email address, or the identifier provided when you use Sign in with Apple or Google. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we only receive Apple's private relay address.
- Your collection and content: the perfumes, oils, lotions, and mists you add, notes, ratings, wishlist items, scent diary entries, blends, and similar content you create.
- Photos and screenshots: pictures of bottles or screenshots you choose to upload so the App can identify products or fill in details.
- Messages to us: anything you send when you contact us for support.
Information collected automatically
- Device and app information: device type, operating system version, app version, an app-generated device identifier, and basic diagnostic or crash information, used to keep the App secure and working.
- Subscription status: whether you have an active subscription or trial, as reported to us by Apple or Google. We do not receive your payment card details.
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, health data, or browsing history, and we do not use advertising identifiers to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
How we use information
- To provide the App: store your collection, sync it across your devices, and show your stats, diary, and wishlist.
- To power smart features you choose to use, such as reading screenshots, identifying bottles, and suggesting layering blends.
- To manage your account, subscription, and free trial.
- To keep the App secure, prevent fraud and account sharing abuse, and fix problems.
- To respond to you when you contact us, and to send important service notices (for example, changes to this policy).
- To improve the App using aggregated, de-identified information.
Artificial intelligence features
Some features use artificial intelligence provided by a third-party service, Anthropic. When you use one of these features, the relevant content, such as a photo, a screenshot, or a list of scents, is sent securely to that provider to generate a result. The provider processes it on our behalf to return the result to you. We do not use your content to train AI models, and we choose providers that do not use API content to train their models by default.
How we share information
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only:
- With service providers who help us run the App, such as cloud hosting and database services (for example, Supabase), AI processing (Anthropic), and website hosting (Cloudflare). They may use the information only to provide services to us.
- With Apple and Google to process purchases and subscriptions through their app stores, under their own privacy policies.
- For legal reasons, if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users, the public, or Lindmage.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.
- With your permission, for example when you choose to share a card or list from the App.
How long we keep information
We keep your information while your account is active. If your subscription ends, we keep your collection for a period of time so it is still there if you come back. If you delete your account, we delete your personal information and content within 30 days, except where we must keep limited records for legal, tax, or security reasons. Backups are cleared on their regular cycle.
Your choices and rights
- Access and export: you can view your data in the App and export your collection.
- Correction: you can edit your content and account details in the App.
- Deletion: you can delete your account from within the App, or by emailing us.
- Photos and permissions: you control camera and photo access in your device settings.
- Emails: you can opt out of non-essential emails using the unsubscribe link.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, such as the right to know, access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to not be discriminated against for using these rights. To make a request, email Contact@lindmage.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Age requirement and children's privacy
The App is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the App. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that someone under 18 has created an account or given us personal information, we will delete the account and that information. If you believe this has happened, please contact us at Contact@lindmage.com.
International users
We are based in the United States, and your information is processed and stored in the United States. By using the App, you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
This website
Lindmage.com does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, to deliver and secure the site. If you email us, we use your message only to reply.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will let you know in the App or by email before they take effect. The effective date at the top shows when it was last updated.
